The Russell Book Fair is happening today and tomorrow in the Learning Commons! Bring your cash, debit, or credit cards to buy new and used books. Each class is booked in to the fair for twenty minute sessions, and the Book Fair will also be open at recess, lunch, and after school until 3pm.

The Learning Commons will be closed before school to accommodate the Book Fair.

Swim Team: The Bayside swim team participated in the Preliminary School Meet yesterday, and all our swimmers qualified to swim at Championships this weekend. Way to go Sharks! Please remember we have our last practice of the season this Friday. There will be treats!

Girls Rugby: No Girls team rugby practice today. Mr. Cook returns to coach next week.

Girls Field Hockey: If you are in grade 6/7/8 and are interested in playing Field Hockey this year please come to a meeting next Wednesday at Lunch in South 114.

Stelly’s Climbing Academy: Attention all Grade 8 students. Today at lunchtime there will be a meeting for anyone who wants to learn about the Stelly’s climbing academy. Former Bayside students who are now a part of the academy will be here to answer questions and speak about this great opportunity for Grade 9 students. The meeting will take place in E106, Mr. Stoehr’s room. Bring your lunch.

Attention Volleyball Fans: Come to the gym today at lunchtime to see the Grade 7 boys team play the Grade 7 girls team in what should be a very competitive matchup. Mr. Bailey’s boys team has been working very hard this season and they are eager to finally play a game after getting snowed out last week. Be ready to cheer on your favourite Shark.

FIND YOUR FIT TOUR – A CAREER EXPLORATION EVENT

The WorkBC Find Your Fit Tour is an interactive student based event taking place at Bayside Middle School on February 26, 2019 from 8:34am – 2:33pm for students and from 3:00pm - 7:00pm for students and parents. Students can jump right in and try the skills they’ll need for different careers in demand across the province. This hands-on event will help students apply real life experiences to their career planning, and connect with WorkBC’s labour market information, tools and services. Parents are also welcome to attend the evening event, as they look for ways to educate and support their children in their career exploration.
Drop in and explore the program and discover how to ‘find your fit’ for a career!
