Education Series: Anxiety, Youth Stress Management
This is another parent education evening sponsored by our Saanich Peninsula Local Action Team - along the lines of past events (anxiety information, Screenagers, and Jack.org mental health literacy).
Presenter: Julie-Anne Richards, Registered Clinical Counsellor (Ms. Richards presented the topic Childhood Anxiety twice on the peninsula last year.)
What: A parent information evening with a focus on anxiety and positive coping strategies. One hour presentation, followed by one hour interactive discussion/guided conversations. Learn the difference between stress and anxiety. Receive professional guidance and effective stress management strategies for both home and school settings. Discuss common challenges in supporting youth experiencing stress.
