Info for Students…
- Lunch Pod Closure: The SOUTH Pod will be closed at lunch this week, 12:30 – 12:52.
- Best of Both Worlds Performance Tickets: The Grade 8
musical is happening this week on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00pm. Tickets
are on sale at the office. Adults - $7.00 and Students - $5.00. All Gr. 6 &
7 students will see the show on Thursday in block 1.
- Best of Both Worlds-Gr. 8 Musical: FULL CAST rehearsal during reading block and block 4!
- Gr. 8 Boys Volleyball: Congratulations to both the Gr. 8 Boys
Volleyball teams on excellent play this season. The BLUE team finished 8th
of 19 in two very close matches yesterday, going into 3 sets in both games. The
GREEN team finished 14th overall winning their first game yesterday
at Royal Oak. The boys put forth a good effort and represented the school with
distinction. Strong season boys. Go Sharks!
- Volleyball Fans: Attention volleyball fans come to the gym today at lunchtime to watch the semi
final match between the Gr. 8 Boys GREEN team and the Gr. 8 Girls BLACK team.
The winner will play the Gr. 8 Boys BLUE team in the school final tomorrow. The
winner of the school final will play the teacher all stars on Friday at lunch.
The teacher all stars have not lost to the students since the famous upset of
1923 with Mr. Cook was coaching the team.
- Gr. 8 Girls BLUE Volleyball Team: Come to the LC at 12:15 for our potluck.
- Bike Raffle: Last week to buy your raffle tickets for the
bike in the gallery. Tickets on sale
at lunch.
- Senior Boys Rugby: You finally have a coach. Practice Wednesday and Thursday this week. Bring mouth guard!
- Junior Boys Rugby: Practice Tuesday
and Wednesday.
- Girls Rugby: Practice Wednesday.
- Calgary Band: The following students please see Ms. Aitchison today at recess for your Calgary
hoodie: Jaelyn D, May E, Aiden M, Keagan W.
- Yearbook Sales: Yearbook sales are on this week! Please drop
off your payment of $40 to the office this week (cheques to made out to SD63)
There will be a printed list outside of the office for those who have already
made a purchase.
- Student Council: Gr. 8 Student Council meeting with Ms. Lee at lunch today in West computer lab.
- Shark Attack Hockey Players: If you did not see Ms. Lee yesterday, please
come to her room at recess today.
- Lost and Found: Lost and found will be left out for a couple
more days. Please stop by and see if any of your items are there.
- FI Quebec Bake Sale: Bake Sale TODAY
at lunch in the canteen for the Gr. 7 French Immersion Quebec Trip. Don’t
miss out!
- Outside Reminders: Reminder no food wrappers to be outside at
recess or lunch. Please dispose of any garbage properly inside the school.
