Elizabeth May Student Questions: Could all students asking a question to Elizabeth May this afternoon please meet Ms. Lee in the gym at Reading block today to practise.

Cross Country Team: All cross country runners competing at Beaver Lake today, please meet in E114 at lunch.

Grade 6/7 Girls Competitive Basketball: Reminder of the practice today after school.

Tennis Team: Tennis practise is cancelled today but back on tomorrow, Friday at lunch.

Choir: Choir practise tomorrow at lunch.

Clay Club: Do you like working with clay? Clay Club will begin Wednesday after school on October 16th for 8 sessions. There is a supply fee and space is limited. Come to the Art Room to pick up a permission form. Don’t delay it fills up quickly!

Band Announcements: Instrumental masterclass sectionals during Reading Block TODAY are for the Grade 6 Alto & Tenor Saxophones. Students need to bring their instrument, band book/music and a pencil.

Pizza Thursday: Pizza lunch is TODAY at lunch in the MPR. Pepperoni, Cheese, Hawaiian and Gluten-free available. $3 per slice or 2 for $5. Don’t miss out!

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Oct. 9 & 10 - The online booking system is now open to select a time to meet with your child's teachers. The booking system will close on Oct. 8 at 11:00pm (Please note: The Parent/Teacher Conferences should be given priority to homeroom students).
Please do the following steps to book a parent/teacher conference:-
Go to the website http://bayside.schoolappointments.com

Register - Parents click on the “Register” tab and fill in the registration form to create an account. Once parents have successfully registered, they can login to the system and then must register their students by name.

Select Teachers - Parents can schedule appointments by clicking on the “Appointments” button beside the student’s name. Select the teachers with whom they wish to meet.

Teacher Calendars - Parents are shown the calendar with appointment times that are available & unavailable for booking. Select an appointment times by clicking the check boxes, the box will turn green when selected. If no appointments are available, click on the call back button at the top of the list.

Appointments Booked Successfully - Once the appointments are booked the screen will display the list of appointments for the student.

Calgary Nationals Parent Meeting: There will be a parent meeting for grade 8 Band parents of students going to the Calgary Nationals in the Band Room on Tues. Oct 8 @ 6pm. All parents please attend, we will be discussing fundraising, payment schedule and the itinerary. Please email Ms. Aitchison at aaitchison@saanichschools.ca if you cannot attend.

Attention Grade 6 Parents: Immunization
Immunization
consent packages for grade 6 students will be sent home today,
September 26, 2019. Please complete your student’s consent form
indicating your wishes (YES or NO), and return it to the school as
soon as possible. Only students with parental consent will be
immunized. If you have any questions, please contact the Peninsula
Health Unit at 250-544-2400 or visit ImmunizeBC for additional
information.
Public Health Nurses will be at your school to immunize students on Wednesday October 30, 2019
