As you are aware the Bayside Grade 8 Band earned a Gold medal in Whistler. One of the biggest messages we receive from our adjudicators was that these students have a musical gift and should not throw it away. Keep making music. It may lead you to meet friends for life, help you get scholarships to post secondary, and make wonderful music for the world to enjoy.
Me Ziegler (Stelly's) shared the Grade 9 Band class list (2018/19) and it appears that there is only 4 spaces left for students to join. It is likely that those will be filled soon and a waitlist may be necessary. If your young musician is thinking about continuing it would be best for you to email him directly to ensure their position in the Stelly's Band 9 class. Nziegler@sd63.bc.ca
