Info for Students…
Quebec Trip – All Gr. 7 students going to Quebec this year, please attend a very important meeting tonight in the Learning Commons at 5:30 pm. If you can’t make it, please see Mme Shuh.
Attention Gr. 8 French Immersion students – We need volunteers for the Lecture en cadeau program at Keating Elementary. The sessions will be held in the Keating library on four Wednesdays in May from 3-4 pm. Students are partnered with the same student each week and would spend the time engaged in reading activities. Ask your teacher for more details.
With the WE ARE SILENT event only 2 days away, you still have time to get signed up. Bring in your $5.00 to your homeroom teacher. Remember, each student who participates will get to be in a draw for a Mayfair Mall gift card. There will be one winner per pod. Let’s see how quiet we can make Bayside this Thursday.
Have you ordered your Bayside Yearbook yet? Deadine to order is April 30th. Check the office window to see if your name is on the list for having pre-ordered. The cost is $35. Don’t miss out, as quantities are limited.
On Tues Apr 24th, Wed Apr 25th and Fri Apr 27th some students from Div 76 will be raising money for dogs in need. All proceeds will go to Mex-Can dog rescue. Mex-Can is a team that rescues dogs in Mexico and brings them to Victoria to find a better home. Come to E107 during recess and lunch to guess the amount of candy in the jars. Cost to guess for smaller jars is $0.75 for one or $1.25 for two; for bigger jars, $1.00 for one or $1.50 for two. You can also bring in gently used toys, towels and food bowls for dogs. See you tomorrow for your first chance to guess!
Pod vs Pod Football starts TODAY at lunch. South Pod will play East Pod today. Everyone welcome to play or watch. See Mr. Kovacs with any questions.
Girls Volleyball – Reminder to any Gr. 6, 7 or 8 girls interested in practicing tomorrow at 7am.
Girls Basketball Skills Session – All girls in Gr. 6, 7 and 8 are welcome to the gym TODAY from 2:45-4 pm for basketball skills and games. All girls are welcome, no experience necessary.
Girls Rugby – Quick meeting in Mme Levesque’s room TODAY at 12:30.
Track & Field – Reminder of practice TODAY after school for track runners. Please meet at the Shark at 2:45 pm.

Band Announcements – Instrumental masterclass sectionals during Reading Block TODAY are for the Combined Gr. 7 Band. Students need to bring their instrument, band book/music and a pencil.
