Pizza Lunch is TODAY during lunchtime in the MPR. Pepperoni, Cheese, Hawaiian and Gluten-free available. $3 per slice or 2 for $5. Don't miss out!
Terry Fox run – Next week, during yur PE class, we will be participating in a Terry Fox run around the school grounds. Please bring a $2 (toonie) next week for cancer research. Gr. 6's will be running Thursday. Gr. 7 & 8's will be running Wednesday.
Cross Country – All runners competing today at Beaver Lake, come to an important meeting at recess in E114.
Gr. 7/8 Girls Soccer - Short meeting at lunch TODAY for all Gr. 7/8 girls soccer players. Please meet in Ms. Moore's room at 12:20.
Girls Basketball – A reminder to all girls of pre-season basketball training in the gym TODAY from 2:45-4. See you there.

From the Learning Commons – The winner of the staff pic/pick of the week is Cohan L. Cohan can pick up his free pizza from Mr. Newlove at the start of lunch. Also, there will be a short meeting for all library crew tomorrow, Friday at 12:15 in the Learning Commons.
Gr. 8 Band Students – Those who are going to the Whistler Band Festival are reminded to return permission forms and the deposit to Mrs. Aitchison by Oct. 15Th to ensure our booking with the travel agent. Extra permission forms are available in the bandroom and will be posted on the band website.
Instrumental masterclass sectionals during Reading Block TODAY are for the Gr. 6 & 7 Flute & Percussion (Flute & Glockenspiel). Students need to bring their instrument, band book/music and a pencil.

Attention Gr. 6 Parents: Watch for immunization consent packages for grade 6 students that will be sent home soon. Students in grade 6 will be offered immunizations in school-based clinics with the consent of a parent(s) or representative. Please review and return your student’s consent package as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Peninsula Health Unit at 250-544-2400 and ask to speak with a Public Health Nurse.
