Info for Students…
On Friday, September 29 wear your orange shirt to show that you believe EVERY CHILD MATTERS! An orange shirt was chosen for Sep 30th because Phyllis Webstad was one of these children. At 6 years old she was sent to a residential school. Proud to wear her new orange shirt that her grandmother purchased for her, the new shirt was taken from her as she was forced to wear a uniform. Her beloved orange shirt was not returned. When we wear an orange shirt we are remembering these lost and bullied children but we are also saying EVERY CHILD MATTERS regardless of their skin colour, culture, and beliefs. Together we are stronger!
Pizza Lunch is TODAY during lunchtime in the MPR. Pepperoni, Cheese, Hawaiian and Gluten-free available. $3 per slice or 2 for $5. Don't miss out!
Gr. 7 Division vs Division dodgeball starts at 12:25 TODAY. Congrats to Div. 6-2 for winning the Gr. 6 tournament.
Cross Country – There will be an important cross country running meeting TODAY at recess in E114.
Grade 7/8 Girls' Soccer – Reminder to players of our practice after school tomorrow. Meet outside the gym doors @ 2:45 pm.
Girls Basketball - A reminder to all girls basketball players that pre season training begins TODAY from 2:45 – 4 pm in the gym. All grades are welcome. Any questions see Mr. Stoehr.
Cartooning Club – Just a reminder that Cartooning Club starts tomorrow at lunchtime in E109.
Instrumental masterclass sectionals during Reading Block TODAY are for the Gr. 6 & 7 Flute & Percussion (Flute and Glockenspiel). Students need to bring their instrument, band book/music and a pencil.

Attention Gr. 6 Parents: Watch for immunization consent packages for grade 6 students that will be sent home soon. Students in grade 6 will be offered immunizations in school-based clinics with the consent of a parent(s) or representative. Please review and return your student’s consent package as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Peninsula Health Unit at 250-544-2400 and ask to speak with a Public Health Nurse.
