The Youth in Action team and the Learning Commons are holding 2 contests to celebrate Family Literacy Day and to support the 1000x5 project! You can help by donating gently used children's books which will be donated to the project here on Saanich Peninsula. The class with the most books donated will win a plate full of cookies made by the Youth in Action team. Bring in your books now until Jan. 26th.
From the Learning Commons – just before Christmas, Ms. Lindsay held a meeting for students to hear about the history fair (also know as heritage fair) that will be held in May at the Royal BC Museum. If you attended that meeting, and definitely want to participate, or if you didn't get a chance to go then and want to hear about it now, please come to the meeting Thursday at 12:25.
