Objectives:  To continue to work on a variety of writing styles to reinforce grammar concepts learned in class.  To increase our awareness of spelling and grammar through self and peer editing.  To continue to work on increasing our vocabulary and spelling.

Assessment:  Several assignments will be a Pass (100%) or Fail (0%) course, complete, or non-complete.

• Students will be expected to attend all classes

• Students must come to class prepared and on time, with all work materials required

• Students will work on self-editing skills by underlining the words they questioned or are unsure of.

• Students are to read independently group or independent novel studies

• Students will be expected to complete all criteria for assignments

• Students will be expected to explore a passion project exploring and inquiring about a topic that is meaningful to them.

• Students will be expected to write a paper on their passion project that will demonstrate their new learning on writing styles and citations.

• Students will be expected to present their passion inquiry project to the class and community of parents and teachers in June.
