I have spoken with all of the band students, stressing the IMPORTANCE of ATTENDING (with their instrument and music) their MASTERCLASS. Three unexcused absences will result in students not being allowed to attend festival as we are hoping to achieve another GOLD medal and their musical performance must be polished and show excellent team spirit/dedication. The schedule is below and is a two-week alternating schedule. If you know your son/daughter will be absent (sick, dr appt, travel, etc), please let me know so that they are marked absent and excused. I have also asked homeroom teachers to avoid scheduling field trips and presentations during these times. With only two 30-min rehearsals per month to get ready for our festival we need to use every rehearsal wisely.
Week One (this week):
MONDAY- None
TUESDAY- Grade 7 Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, sax)
WEDNESDAY- Grade 8 Woodwinds
THURSDAY- Grade 6 Woodwinds
FRIDAY- None
Week Two (next week):
MONDAY- None
TUESDAY- Grade 7 Brass and Percussion (trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, bass guitar, percussion)
WEDNESDAY- Grade 8 Brass and Percussion
THURSDAY- Grade 6 Brass and Percussion
FRIDAY- None
