Info for Students…
This is it, Bayside! Our last social afternoon of the year will be this Friday, May 11th. On Friday, Spring Fling dance tickets will be sold at the Shark Shop before school and in the gallery at recess and lunch. $3 with a can of food or $4 without.
Attention Gr. 8’s – The farewell committee is requesting that you send in a baby photo of yourself for an activity at farewell. Please scan/email the photo to c.l.young@telus.net or bring a hard copy to the office.
Track & Field – Reminder of the first track meet this Thursday at UVIC. High jump athletes meet in the gym TODAY after school. Track runners meet at the Shark TODAY at 2:45 pm. Shot put and discus athletes meet at the outdoor equipment room at lunch. There will be an additional high jump practice after school tomorrow.
Field Hockey – The girls team played an amazing set of games at UVIC last Thursday, coming out with 3 ties and a win. Goals were scored by Paige B, Ella P, and Rylee W. There is no field hockey practice this week. Please let Ms. Alford know TODAY if you can play Thursday.
Boys Rugby – Congratulations to the team on their hard fought victory over a highly skilled Gordon Head team last Thursday. The boys play SMUS at home this Thursday.
Girls Rugby – Important girls’ rugby meeting at recess TODAY in Mme Levesque’s room.
Student Council 8 – Meeting in Mme Levesque’s room TODAY at lunch to make posters.
Band Announcements – Instrumental masterclass sectionals are cancelled today, due to the Gr. 7 Band trip.
