Info for Students…

Gr. 7 Girls Recreational Volleyball – Congrats to the team for winning all 4 of their games yesterday against WSÁNEC W-Saanich and Central Middle schools. Way to go, team!

Gr. 8 Girls Competitive Volleyball team is playing at Cedar Hill today. Good luck to all Sharks.

Gr. 8 Girls Recreational Volleyball – Reminder to all players of the game today in our gym starting at
3:45 pm.

Gr. 8 Boys Volleyball - Reminder of your practice tomorrow morning at 7:00 am.

Pizza Lunch is tomorrow during lunchtime. Pepperoni, Cheese, Hawaiian and Gluten-free available. $3 per slice or 2 for $5. Don't miss out!

Any Gr. 8 Students interested in the Stelly's Climbing Academy should attend an information meeting this Friday at lunch in E106. Former Bayside students will be there to talk about their experience. All Gr. 8's are welcome.

Chinese New Year PAC Hot Lunch – for only $10 you get a full plate of yummy Chinese food with a mandarin orange, a juice box and fortune cookie! The lunch is served Thursday, February 15th. Order forms can be found online or a paper copy can be picked up in the office. Please drop orders off in the black box in the office by Friday to celebrate Chinese New Year with this fun event!

  • Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Last year we had so many beautifully decorated doors for Valentine's Day that Student Council would like to do this again. However, instead of decorating your actual door, please decorate just beside it. Student Council kids will come around on Wednesday, February 14th to judge your “door”. Therefore, please ensure that your “door” is ready to go for next Wednesday morning. There will be 4 prizes awarded this year which will be donuts, to the following groups: Support Rooms (LC, office, Student Services etc), Gr. 6, Gr. 7 and Gr. 8.

  • Homestay Families Still Needed! Bayside is welcoming our annual Japanese student visit March 24-28th. They are seeking Bayside and neighbouring families to host students during this homestay. Please submit your application as soon as possible to be considered for this great opportunity. Details can be found on our website.

  • Maple Syrup Fundraiser - Canadian Parents for French are having a sweet fundraiser. Delicious maple syrup and maple lollipops are available to pre-order now until March 1st. See the online order form for details.

  • Student Council meeting Friday at 12:30 in Mme Levesque's room.

  • Challenge By Choice students – please meet Ms. Pettigrew in the Multi-purpose room at the beginning of your block.

  • Extreme team will not be meeting today but will meet at lunch tomorrow in S115 around 12:30 pm.

  • Youth in Action – team meeting today at 12:15 pm in W108. Bring your lunch.

  • Band Announcements – Instrumental masterclass sectionals during Reading Block TODAY are for the Combined Gr. 8 Band . Students need to bring their instrument, band book/music and pencil.
