MATH:

This week we are completing a review of addition (with multiple digits) and starting a review of Subtraction.  A short quiz on each will be held on Thursday, November 10th.  In addition (no pun intended), we will be doing a quick review of Prime Numbers and Factorization starting on Wednesday.

SCIENCE:

We are finishing up our section on the Skeleton.  The "Skeleton Project" is due on Wednesday, November 9th.  Also, a short quiz on the skeleton will be held on Wednesday.  Next week we will do a short segment on the Skeletal-Muscular systems (and how they work together).

HUMANITIES:

Last week students presented the findings of their "Brain Research Projects" to the class.  Most were very well done and very informative for the class.

This week we are studying for a quiz which will be held on Thursday, November 9th. This quiz will involve knowing the four lobes of the brain, as well as several functions for each lobe.  The students are creating a "Brain Cap" in order to help them study for the quiz.  I will post a photo of the class with these caps on next week.

NOTICES:

HOLIDAY - A reminder that Friday, November 11th is a holiday.

NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DAY - A reminder that Monday, November 13th is a Non-Instructional Day, so no school for students.

HOMEWORK - We have worked hard this week with the intention that there be no homework (except reading daily, of course) for the long weekend.  One or two students may be bringing home some Math in order to catch-up.
