Students should practice for 30 mins 3-4X each week outside of class/masterclass.
-Focus on warming up for 10 minutes on the first five notes learned in a variety of rhythms including whole notes, half notes, and quarter notes. Brass should use the Bandmate Chromatic Tuner app (it's free on all devices and absolutely crucial to finding the exact pitch on a brass instrument). -Lastly spend the remaining 10 minutes practicing our Winter Concert music (concert is December 8th at 7pm and December 9th Block 1).
-each instrument section has been learning a piece with their masterclass specialist teacher
