I want to send a special thank you to all of the Grade 8 Bayside Band students for their exceptional performance at the Whistler Con Brio Festival this weekend!. Your performance was stellar and you were excellent representatives of BSMS throughout the entire trip!! Wherever we went, we received compliments on your manners, and professionalism! Another thank you goes out to our parent volunteers whom chaperoned our field trip: Will Kwan, John Plant, Winona White, and Shelley Dumais, without your unwavering assistance this event wouldn't have run so smoothly!
As a reminder, if you wish to have pics from our trip, please send in a memory stick (32gb) labeled with your name and I will pass that onto Mr Kwan whom took some amazing photos from our trip.

Thurs May 8 @ 7pm (Spring Concert) and Fri May 9th @ Block 1 (School Performance).
Students should be continuing to play through O Canada, Grease, Funkytown, Sousa on Parade, Annabel Lee, and Black Forest Overture with ease. Please spend your practice time focusing on producing a nice warm, round tone full of dynamic contrast...play along with the recordings here on the Band website, it'll help you alot!
This week we will have PE. Next week we will have Band to prepare for the Spring Concerts. Students need to bring their instrument and music to school.
Students whom need to use USSR time to work on homework instead of masterclass are welcome to do so this week. Please bring whatever homework materials you need to the band room or ask if you can stay in homeroom to work on it there.
