Mr. Davidson's Teacher Page

About Me

Hello everyone,

I am Ryan Davidson, and I will be the homeroom teacher for division 6-1 this year. In addition to teaching all core subjects to Division 6-1. I will also be teaching Social Studies to division 8-1 and Physical Education to division 6-3 & 6-4, I would like to say hello to those families as well!

Returning to Bayside for a third consecutive year fills me with excitement, and I am eagerly looking forward to collaborating with the incredible students, staff, and community members who contribute to making Bayside such a unique and special place.

I graduated from Claremont Secondary School in 2010 and completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of Victoria in 2017. In the Spring of 2021, I obtained my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Vancouver Island University. Beyond the classroom, I'm an avid traveler. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of visiting various countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

My interests also extend to history, philosophy, politics, and cultural studies. Additionally, I'm a dedicated sports enthusiast. I was involved in Water Polo for fifteen years in Saanich and played Rugby at Royal Oak and Claremont. I'm also passionate about coaching and typically coach volleyball and rugby here at Bayside. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and playing volleyball. I also enjoy watching a variety of sports, with a particular fondness for the NFL, NBA, and English Premier League.

With over a decade of experience working with middle school-aged students in recreational, educational, and competitive sports settings, I hold a strong passion for education. My primary goal as an educator is to provide a high-quality learning experience for all my students while fostering an engaging, inclusive, and positive atmosphere that allows them to flourish. It's an honour to be a part of the Sharks team this year, and I'm excited to connect with all of you.
